Second you need a thank you page. As soon as the prospect provides their contact details they get sent to page two - the thank you page which asks them to confirm their subscription by clicking on the link within the email they have just been sent (from your auto-responder service).

Third you have a download page. When your visitor clicks on the link within the email they are passed onto page three - the download page. If you give people the download link on page two there is no incentive for them to confirm their subscription in your email. Essentially you've done all the hard work and they don't have to join your list. That sucks.

The key to this niche marketing strategy is a combination of building an email list you can market to over and over again. Don't burn the list - offer them value, give them useful tips and sell to them. Don't just focus on the income and sell, sell, sell.

So the obvious way to make money is selling your own product or affiliate products through your emails as you follow up. Just as important is making sure that you also provide something of value on the Thank You page and the Download Page they have visited.

Using very simple affiliate links and free bonus products (that refer someone into an affiliate program) is a very effective and economical way to make a lot of money from this very simple niche marketing strategy. The beauty is that even is no one ever reads any of your emails they will also be exposed to the Thank You page and Download Page when they join your list. Like you or loth you - they will see the products you are promoting and some (not all obviously) will click on the links and buy these products.
