Using Podcasts As Part Of Your Internet Marketing Strategy

Are you using podcasts as part of your internet marketing strategy? If not, then I think you should. In the same way that YouTube can bring you tons of viral traffic, podcasts can do the same thing also. In fact, if you have the right software to make your YouTube videos, you can extract the audio from it and turn it into an MP3 podcast.

A podcast is nothing more than a recorded media file that's intended to deliver a message or content. When marketing your podcast, the first thing that you should do is go to iTunes and submit your podcast there. iTunes is the largest podcast directory on the internet, and it's something that you will definitely want to use to promote your podcast immediately.

I didn't actually realize the power of podcasts until only a couple of years ago. My favorite financial adviser, Suze Orman, mentions at the end of her show that people can download her podcasts for free from iTunes. I was shocked. So for every time I missed her show, I could catch up on it by simply downloading the audio from iTunes.

This is something that you will definitely want to jump on. It can work to get you tons of traffic in a short period of time, and it's something that you will want to add to your marketing list to conduct on a weekly basis. Podcasting is easy, so don't let any of the "technical talk" baffle you.

In your podcast, you should strive to deliver high quality content. I know people who take their website content and turn it into podcasts. The podcast is usually 5 to 10 minutes long, and I'm willing to bet that they get a lot of exposure for their website quickly and automatically.

I used to use the audio from my YouTube videos as the content for my podcast. There are some pros and cons to this, but for the most part it was effective. You always want to make your podcast original and full of quality. Don't just create one to promote your website. Really give solid information that will make your listeners want to come back for more.

In fact, you should do this for anything that you do online. Whether it's submitting articles, creating YouTube videos, doing forum marketing, and keeping in touch with your subscribers via email marketing... good content is something that you will want to keep in the back of your mind.

Podcasts can be made incredibly easy if you know what to do. I'm willing to bet that the more you create podcasts, the more you will become a pro at it. You will know how long to make your podcasts, how to plug your website, how to tackle the key issues in each segment, and learn what your listeners are looking for. So get started on using podcasts today.

It may take some time before you get a lot of listeners. Just be patient and keep marketing, and great things will happen for you. Trust me, I am talking from experience.
