When I first decided to use WordPress on my domain I hadn't ever used WordPress before and hadn't really had much experience with FTP and uploading files. I used to upload all my files from my Bluehost CPanel even though I knew you could use free FTP software to upload files quickly, but I'm not that good at reading and following instructions and it looked too complicated. Anyway I bit the bullet and downloaded Filezilla which is a free FTP client for uploading files etc and then found videos on YouTube showing how to set Filezilla up and how to upload files. It really wasn't that hard at all and once Filezilla is set up you don't need to do anything else, but let me get back to installing WordPress.XNGFree Articles Directory | Hostsee.com When I first installed WordPress I did it the hard way even though they say it only takes 5 minutes. It will take you a lot longer if you don't know how to do it in the first place. I downloaded the WordPress files and then searched for videos showing you what you need to do to install it. After browsing several videos I had the knowledge I needed. To cut a long story short there were a few things to be done like setting up a database, editing files with passwords etc and although it didn't take a great amount of time it still took me a while to get WordPress installed correctly.
So this is why I did this short video showing how easy it is to install WordPress to your domain if your webhost is Bluehost or HostGator. Other webhosts also offer the one click WordPress install and it really is fast and easy to do. I didn't realise for a while that you could install WordPress this way and if I knew you could then it would have saved me a whole lot of time searching for how to videos. So if you already know this and my guess is the majority of people will then you're not going to learn anything new, but if you don't then you should get some benefit from watching.XNGFree Articles Directory | Hostsee.com Let me just say I am no expert on WordPress and I'm still learning but it really is a great platform to use.
